Ichi Ban Japanese Restaurant in Tolleson

I go to this special place every couple of days as I enjoy the ambiance that is outline this place. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably loyal and professional. The service is exceptionally rapid. Needless to say, the food they prepare is excellent. I ate there many times and I was always happy. The rate is fair. I highly suggest this place to all my friends.

The quality of some of the fish didn't look fresh so we ordered shrimp rolls. We sat at the bar and the sushi chefs seemed to be squabbling during our entire meal. At one point, a man that appeared to be the manager scolded one of the men telling him that he should be making rolls faster. It was pretty uncomfortable for us to be sitting right next to all of this. The rolls we got were good and service was fast.

This place never disappoints. They have awesome dishes for reasonable pricing, there no long wait even when they are full.

This is my usual go to place for sushi. Their rolls are nothing special but I'm more about the sushi anyway. Not too expensive (for sushi) though unfortunately they upped their half-off priced sushi. But I've always been happy with the quality. Also this is the only place that I've found yummy tempura fried calamari. I've tried maybe four other sushi restaurants, and either the oil is bad, or it's not light like tempura but fried like regular calamari, or something else is off. The waiters are always nice and courteous, sometimes the service is slow. But I feel like slow service might be some universal sushi restaurant conspiracy that some adhere to more than other ;)

We like going here several times a month. Once in a while they may over cook the Beef. That's the reason for only 4 stars. Staff is always friendly and attentive . I can recommend this place.

Good Sushi lunch

Place looks nice, it's cozy, service sucks, and the food was blahhh...taste was alright.... lobster roll was nasty, the BSCR was just ok and the teriyaki was flavorless..... never again

I looked on their menu online and avocado rolls are $3.25. I placed an order for 3 rolls over the phone and they said they were only taking credit card numbers over the phone. (?) Fine, I gave it to them. When I got to the restaurant they showed me the bill for $16.10 without tax for the three rolls - where did the extra almost $7 come from? They said the rolls where $4.95. The menu online is wrong. Fine. $4.95 x 3 rolls is $14.85. So where did the extra $2.10 come from? No answer - These people have no shame at all - extremely dishonest. The tax was extra so this was just the price of the rolls. And they blatantly try to scam people. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.I tried to get my credit card info back that they had written and they wouldn't give it back.

Amazing place. Went here with my whole family little cousins and all and they set us up in our own room in the back. Great food and friendly staff. A great way to end a vacation with the family.

I like this sushi restaurant l! I come here at least once or twice a month. And the food is fresh and prices are fair. Sometimes the rolls are a little sloppy but for the most part they are good and well tightened.. Its a chill not to noisey of a place or to flashy.

The restaurant is always changing people, and I hear that the old masters always want to change people, so they always get more tips, because the new arrival only gets 50% tip, so once the new master gets 100% tip, they will say that the new person works slowly and always speaks ill of others behind his back, especially a Chinese, who always speaks ill of people by speaking some English, and other people tip a little higher. He was angry that people shouldn't take so many tips. This man is so bad that he always speaks ill of a man with a beard. The thief looks like a rat and doesn't look like a good man. I hate him,

Good food! Been going to the Glendale location forever when the plates were about $7 hehe. Now that I'm in the neighborhood, this is my go to sushi & tempura place. Nice servers too.

I ordered shush roll set. It was $32. It was only 3 kind of very simple sushi(each of them 4-6 pieces) and 33-4 pieces of tuna, salmons, and sanpper sashimi and some of rice with sashimi. Miso soup. Nothing else.We pay total $ 75. No desert or salad or extra soupWe could not read each $32 because so small letter and no explained. Teasing only fish and rice. It wasn’t wealth for even $32 for total prices

Unreasonable expensive. Food was ok. We were there on a Sunday. It was dead. Only us. So, ppl, who work there were starting at us and listening the conversation the whole time. Very uncomfortable.

I meet friends in this lovely spot quite often! This is my favorite place to eat. I visit this place many times. The food is fantastic, the team is helpful and the prices are decent. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a tasty lunch.

The best way to make my three children happy is to tell them we are having Ichiban for dinner. Best sushi in La Canada!!

From the first moment you arrive in that restaurant they give you a nice feeling. Very comfortable waiters, it is a happy place to hang out with your friends or with your date. delicious meals, professional chef, comfortable pay and attentive service. Highly recommended.

Food average in taste, nothing special. The manager was quite rude taking my order over the phone. First time trying it out, and he was very impatient and rushed when I asked for food recommendation. Putting 3 star instead of 2 because of the employees handing the take out food were very nice, grateful and apologetic for their manager.

Sushi, fresh and economical. A Sapporo and a some sushi make a good meal. Not a fancy sushi place but a decent one for a meal.

The place offers a great range of delicious food. I love eating here. Employees are always very friendly, prices are reasonable and the spot is always neat.

The service is lackluster, but the sushi is excellent! Take out is probably the best way to go.

The food and service was really good

I was horrified when I first stepped into this restaurant. When we first ordered food, I looked through the food curtain and saw one of the MANAGERS GRABBING AND PULLING ONE OF THE WAITRESSES ARMS AND STARTED CUSSING HER OUT. I didn't get to see the rest but she started crying and went back to the kitchen. I was so horrified I totally lost my appetite. This is an awful memory I have and I encourage everybody to not dine here. Im appalled.

This place has been here for decades. If you haven’t been here already, it’s great for lunch, dinner, or to get your sushi fix. The lunch/dinner combinations are such a great value. Always plentiful parking since it’s in a strip mall. The wait can be long depending on what time you go.

Udon is good. Rolls are just ok. Price is not too bad considering the competition in the area. Have never dined in so no comment on service.

The rudest manager ever!!!!!! Gave me major attitude for simply asking to be seated at a specific empty table for no reason!I was a regular customer me and my family and my friends. Now this place lost over 20 customers because of someone who shouldn't be a manger in the 1st place.Happened On Jul 17th at 7:20Pm

Wonderful food, as always. I appreciated that they set up outdoor tables, so I didn't have to eat in my car. The only negative was that my main course arrived just barely after I had started eating my appetizer.

This place is worth a visit. They have large portions for fair prices. Always clean and with awesome character. Will come back again.
